He made it very clear that no one know how to cut hair so he and his companion are sporting the buzz cut - Compared to his brother Hunter the White boy with the Afro - He looks bald!

A WEEK OF TENDER MERCIES

This last Monday my companion and I pulled a reverse p-day.
We gave service in the morning and the member took us out to lunch after.
We had planned to get my bike later that day, so we got to email and headed up to a members house to play Rumikube.
We had pizza and got to talk about what was going on in college and the NFL.
After leaving this members house we ran to get my bike and the store was closed.
to top it off we did not get to shop because we had no money.
We had not been reimbursed from all the doctors appointments.
So I was frustrated all day, and came home and went to bed at 9

On Wednesday we had district meeting and it was very good and very spiritual.
Then afterwards these rain clouds came out of no where and it began to pour on us while we were riding home.
Best decision ever....
We got soaking wet to the point it looked like we jumped  in a swimming pool.
The bad news was that everything in my bag got wet.
Including my scriptures...
But it was a great experience.
But when it rains here there are so many different pot holes on the road and they all fill up.
I was riding my bike through one and fell off my bike because that is how deep the hole was.
Probably the highlight of my week.

But we were heading to a lesson on Saturday night and Elder Smith was riding my bike and a motorcycle cut him off and he squeezed my front brakes and went flying over the handle bars.
I had a mini heart attack.
But he landed in push up position and got right back up.
He got mashed up haha.

I can't wait for general conference this weekend.
I'm so excited to hear what the prophets have to council us about.

But today we had the chance to have a zone p-day.
we got together and went and played capture the flag in an old abandoned army base.
IT was super fun.
they all voted me the mvp.
I was doing Parkour so Hunter would be proud of me.
I got mashed up though.
I have cuts and bruises every where from falling and slipping.

Shout out to Elder Burns for his birthday is this week!!!
I love you man hope you make it the best memory ever.

I love you all thank you for the support!!
ALL HEART MIGHT MIND AND STRENGTH.

Wait...What's Winter?

As you may all know that while you are freezing your butts off back home I am down here in paradise sweating till I am soaking wet.
The saying for that down here is "Sun hot"

So something that was a big slap to the face this week was that I remembered that transfer calls are in 2 weeks. I have 2 weeks of training left!!!
This means that I could be moving to a different part of the island,
I could be training a new missionary,
or I could be staying with Elder Smith another Transfer.
I haven't received any revelation on what is going to happen... yet...

So me and Elder Smith where talking and I said do you see any difference in my in size when I first came out?
He said no..
But then we looked and he said that oh I can see the difference now!
you are getting chubby...
Not the words I wanted to hear but oh well haha.

With our investigators this week it was a little better.
We have been extended the challenge by a member of the seventy to always extend a baptismal invitation.
So we do that to everyone that we contact.
It works.
We finally have one investigator on date again.
After a long while we have found someone that wants to change.
I love the people here in Jamaica.

This morning we had the opportunity to go and give service to a member in our ward and it was so fun.
All we did the whole time though was shovel rock into a wheelbarrow and move it into his house.
Jamaicans have really made me thankful for what I have.
They do not complain..

I feel so much more confident in talking to people.
I can feel god in my life so much right now.
My testimony continues to grow stronger and stronger.
I hope that I can make a change down here in Jamaica.

I love you all!!
Biggup yoself

ps. I got told I look liked a former missionary this whole transfer.
Everyone was telling me that they liked me
A random girl gave me a flower hahahaha.
I feel like I look nothing like the kid.

Dodged a Bullet!

WEEK 12!!!!!

This week was crazy!
That's all how I can explain it.
Ill give you a little rundown of what happened.

This week we were in the sketchiest part of Spanish town.
we had a group of people call us over and all they wanted was money.
We told them that the only thing we had was the word of god.
But all they wanted was money.
We told everyone that asked us to get in line.
They kept grabbing our bikes and stuff and we just said no we need that.
They are so funny and ridiculous.
They are so easy to trick though.

Um on Wednesday we got invited to a members home for a birthday party.
It was super fun.
They fed us crazy good and we had funny comments.
We got cake, ice cream, pizza candy you name it

One of the members in our ward is going apostate.
We have family home evening at her house every week.
This week we found out that she has been going to another church.
She has been baptized and comes to our church and now she wants to leave.
IT has been causing me a great head ache this whole week.
But you can't get in the way of peoples agency that they have.
All we can do is continue to encourage her.

Another thing that has been causing me headaches is one of our investigators is getting beat by her boyfriend.
Every night this happens and she won't leave him.
We can't do anything to get in the way.
If I weren't a missionary I would put that man in his place.

After I emailed last week we had to go to a doctors appointment for elder smith
he has been having problems with his bladder and we went and got blood work done for him.
But while we were there we got to share what missionaries do.
But they weren't interested in what we had to say at all.
We were white and that is all that mattered.
So we got hit on really hard and they were a no go.
especially since they were like 40 years old hahah.
But they told me that I was going to get raped by a bunch of 14 year old girls if I'm not careful.
What the heck??
Weirdest day of my life...

I got to give service this week and we had to pull weeds.
never thought I would have to do that down here...

But that is all for this week and it was very interesting.
I love you all so much.

Why Mud? Why Red?

The reason that I gave this email this name is because, this week we had the opportunity to go and give more service to this man who is building his house.
The thing is that the mud here is red!
What we did the entire time is dig out a huge septic tank.
A poop hole.
Literally I had red dirt and red mud on every single part of my body.
And Crevice.
It was the most uncomfortable thing of my life... But so fun.

This week we had the opportunity to have Zone Conference.
Elder Gonzalez from the 70 came and spoke to us.
It was super fun and such and amazing spiritual experience.
We talked about how we need to teach repentance and baptize converts.

We were able to have a family home evening this week with some of the member of our ward.
Best family home evening ever.
We had an amazing spiritual experience and fun games.
And I got to show off my dance moves to everyone.
hahah you can say I am no longer embarrassed to dance in front of people.
It was fun. I hit the quan and the folks.
Half of you won't know what that is until you look it up!

Another crazy thing that happened this week was there was a robbery right down the street from our house.
But not just any robbery.
These three dumb Jamaicans try to rob this house with fake guns.
But the man there did not have a fake gun.
He had all three of them laying on the ground like he was going to execute them.
It was crazy.

Also My companion sliced his finger open twice this week with in 3 minutes.
It was funny but not funny.
He never learned.

Not much this week but it was busy and overall a blast.
Keep me in your prayers.
Thank you for your support.
I love you all.
